Igbinedion University offers 2Baba Honorary Degree
Innocent Ujah Idibia aka 2baba has been selected among the list of Nigerians who will receive honorary degrees from Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo State, on May 10, 2016.
“Ladies and gentlemen! I’m plsd 2 let u know that I’m going 2 be Conferred with an honorary degree @ Igbinedion University on the 10th of may in okada,” the ‘African Queen’ singer announced last night on Instagram, adding, “U are all invited. #GRATEFUL#igbinedionuniversity Thank u for the honour.”
Formerly known as 2face, 2baba came to the spotlight with Plantashun Boiz but launched into prominence when Kennis Music released his debut album, Face 2 Face in May 2004. In months, the former Plantashun Boiz vocalist broke borders and sold two million copies, establishing himself Africa’s best.
Some of the awards he has won include Channel O Music Video Awards, Soundcity Music Video Awards, MTV Africa Music Awards, BET Best International Act: Africa, ThisDay Awards (presented to him by the former U.S. President, Bill Clinton), World Music Awards, Black Heritage Awards for Excellence, Nigerian Music Awards.
