I Know My Role , It’s Just Not The One I Want – Cesc Fabregas
By
| Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed his frustration with his peripheral squad role.
Cesc Fabregas was described as a leader and a key player by manager Maurizio Sarri earlier this month.
However, he has only made one Premier League start this season – in the defeat at Wolves last week.
The playmaker has made 11 appearances in total this season but those have mostly been as a substitute and in Europa League and EFL Cup games.
But the Spaniard says he will not moan about being a back-up choice for boss Sarri.
“I know what my role is – unfortunately it’s not the one I want,” said the midfielder.
“It’s a difficult situation for me, obviously. I’m playing the cups and the Europa League.
