Goodluck Jonathan and PDP Chairman Lands in Abuja to be Revoked

The senate committee on The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has threatened to revoke the plots of land allocated to former President Goodluck Jonathan and some members of the chief opposition party.

Senator Dino Melaye, the committee chairman stated this during the defense of the 2016 budget by the FCT minister, Muhammed Bello.

Others allocated land in the area are: former Justice Minister and Attorney-General of the Federation, Muhammed Bello Adoke;‎ Former Bauchi State governor, Isa Yuguda; Acting National Chairman of PDP, Uche Secondus; and the late National Security Adviser, Andrew Okoye Azazi, among others.

According to the chairman, the lands were in an area designated for building structures for foreign visitors and tourists. The committee went further to order the stoppage of works in all buildings within the area.

Melaye also revealed that his committee made an oversight visitation to the said area, as part of their duty, when they discovered the construction going on in the area. This, he said, resulted in them summoning the FCT minister.
