Forbes Releases List of Africa’s 50 Richest 2015

Lifestyle Magazine Forbes has listed Africa’s 50 Richest 2015 and a Nigerian is still the Africa’s Richest 2015 even though South Africans have overtaken Nigerians on the list.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON, a Nigerian billionaire, who owns the Dangote Group, which has interests in commodities ranks number one on the list. He operates the Dangote Group in Nigeria and other African countries, including Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Togo, Tanzania, and Zambia.

Other Nigerians who made the list are listed below:

Sitting comfortably on the number 7 spot is Mike Adenuga. He is worth $3.5 billion and is into the telecommunications business.

Folorunsho Alakija is number 13. She is worth $1.7 billion, aged 64 and into oil and gas.

Femi Otedola is the 16th richest man in Africa, with a net worth of $1.6 billion. His wealth is primarily from his oil and gas empire.

Theophilus Danjuma is the 30th richest man in Africa and he is into oil and gas. He is worth $750 million.

Tony Elumelu is number 31 with a net worth of $700 million. He made his money from investments in various business sectors.

Jim Ovia locks down number 37 with a net worth of $550 million. He made his wealth from banking.

At number 39 is Mohammed Indimi. He is worth $500 million and into oil and gas.

The last Nigerian on the list is Orji Uzor Kalu, who came in at number 49, with a net worth of $330 million. His wealth origin is listed as diversified.
