Fire Guts Senate President’s House in Abuja

The Abuja residence of Nigeria’s Senate president, Bukola Saraki, was gutted by fire yesterday in the early hours of the day after Senator Bukola Saraki had left for his office.

The Chairman of the 8th National Assembly confirmed the incident on his twitter handle and said the fire has been contained.

Senator Bukola Saraki is presently trying to make peace with his party leaders following confrontations which arise due to the elections of primary officials in the National Assembly.
