FC Barcelona signs midfielder Denis Suarez

Catalan giants, FC Barcelona have signed midfielder Denis Suarez from Villarreal.

The La Liga champions activated the player’s buy back clause which will see the player join the Club for the next four seasons with an option for a fifth depending on the number of appearances in the fourth season after he had a good season at Villarreal.

Barca signed Suarez from Manchester City in 2013 and he completed just a season in Villarreal.

FC Barcelona deposited €3.25M for the right to buy back the player although the buy-out clause for the player has been set at 50 million Euros.

Denis Suárez will undergo a medical Tuesday and will be unveiled in front of fans at the Camp Nou on Wednesday afternoon.

The Spain international had been linked with a return to the Camp Nou throughout the season and he said in March: “The possibility of returning to Barca is there and it’s very difficult to say no to that. I’ve always wanted to play for Barca.”
