Enyeama’s Blunder Hand PSG French League Cup

By  |

A Ten-man Paris Saint-Germain side overcame Lille 2-1 in the French League Cup final at the Stade de France on Saturday as they march towards another domestic clean sweep of titles.

The reigning Ligue 1 Champions got handed a lead by Javier Pastore five minutes before half time in controversial circumstances when his shot passed through the legs of an offside Layvin Kurzawa on its way into the net.

Djibril Sidibe restored the scoreline for Lille at the restart of the second half when he fired a free-kick through the wall and into the net.

The Paris side were dealt a huge blow when Adrien Rabiot was shown a second yellow card for a cynical foul on the impressive Sofiane Boufal with 20 minutes remaining.

Lille’s Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama came up with a moment of madness, rushing out 30 yards and leaving Angel Di Maria to roll in the winner with 16 minutes to play.

The Parisians now have three trophies this term with a French Cup final against Marseille to come.
