Engaged? Iyanya reacts to Rumours
Triple MG co-owner, Iyanya has taken to social media to address rumours that he is engaged to a Liberian woman named Georgianna Weah.
The rumor and photo of the said fiancee were published by blog Nigerian Films on Wednesday, and yesterday, Instablog9ja reached out to the Triple MG act to confirm the story.
The false information said:
“This time around we are exclusively reporting to you after getting relevant information from a close source that the singer got engaged to a Liberian woman July 15th 2016.
His bride to be is a 34 year old lady with the name Georgianna Weah, who is said to be based in the US, VA precisely.
The romance between the duo allegedly began in April this year and an engagement followed in July.“
“Apparently I’m engaged and I didn’t even know lol,” an obviously amused Iyanya wrote on Instagram last night, appropriately shutting down the rumour.
Recall that in August, Iyanya was said to be dating socialite Freda Francis after the ‘Kukere’ singer posted a photo of them cuddling.
Afterwards, they made appearances as a couple at events, and filled their Instagram pages with photos. However, following the rumour that they had split up, the Triple MG co-owner removed all her pictures from his page.
Iyanya has since kept his personal life away from social media, never addressing stories of new relationships. Until last night when he felt the need to address the engagement rumour.
