Edo State House of Assembly Sack Speaker and Deputy

The Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Victor Edoror, and Bright Osayande, his deputy, have been impeached.

The Edo State House of Assembly sacked the two presiding officers on Tuesday by 16 members of the assembly for “incompetence and gross misconduct”.

The two principal officers were impeached by 16 members of the House.

Mrs. Elizabeth Ative has been elected as the Speaker following Edoror’s removal.
