Davido’s Hit Skelewu Features in Disney Movie Queen of Katwe

DMW boss Davido continues to have a great year as his hit track Skelewu has made a debut on one of the biggest movie platforms ever: Disney.

The excited singer shared the news this morning as he revealed that the smash hit single was one of the featured songs in Queen of Katwe, the new movie featuring Oscar Award-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o,

“Never thought I’d hear “Skelewu” in a Disney movie. Amazing.#QueenofKatwe,” he tweeted, adding, “Lupita Nyong’o, God bless you!”

Queen of Katwe tells the story of a Ugandan chess champion, Phiona Mutesi, who discovered chess when she was nine years old scavenging for food in the Katwe slum districts of Kampala.

Davido has been pleasantly surprised with a feature in this much-anticipated film, and a few Nigerians on Twitter have joined him in the celebrations.
