Commissioner in Rivers Abducted,Party Agents Arrested over Rivers Rerun
According to reports from the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ibibia Walter, Rivers State Commissioner for Water Resources has been abducted by unknown gunmen.
Walter was said to have been on his way to Okrika to take part in the Rivers rerun elections in the state when he was abducted.

Reports also indicate that a candidate for the House of representative re-run election billed to hold in Rivers state Barry Mpigi, is alleged to have invaded the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state and carted away electoral material.
The State’s ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party has alleged the arrest of its agents in Ward 8 in Okirika local government area of Rivers state.

While a staff of the INEC in Bonny ward 4, has reportedly ‘confirmed’ that all the result sheets in the ward are fake.
