| Buhari Appoints Suleiman Hassan As Nigeria’s New Minister Of Environment
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Suleiman Hassan, as Nigeria’s new Minister of Environment.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, made this known on Thursday, December 13, in Abuja.
Mr Shehu said President Buhari announced the new appointment at the end of Wednesday’s meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
Prior to the appointment, Hassan was the Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing.
His appointment followed the resignation of the Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jibril. Mr Jibril resigned to assume the throne of the Emir of Nasarawa, in Nasarawa State.
