Boko Haram Bombs University of Maiduguri Mosque during Morning Prayers
A bomb explosion suspected to have been carried out by Boko Haram has gone off Monday morning inside a crowded mosque at the University of Maiduguri with several people feared killed or injured.
According to news website Sahara Reporters, eyewitnesses said the explosion occurred around 6:30 am when some students and staff of the university of Maiduguri were observing morning prayer.
Security forces have been mobilized to the scene of the attack. Sources say several persons have been killed, but there is no official confirmation of casualty figures.
There is no official confirmation of the attack or number of casualties yet.
Terror sect,, Boko Haram has carried out a terror campaign in the country’s North East for over 7 years killing thousands of people. Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, was where the sect started its attacks.
