Birdman’s Cash Money Owes Drake, Nicki Minaj & Tyga too

The ongoing lawsuit Lil Wayne by against Birdman’s Cash Money took an ugly turn  as the Young Money boss has reportedly made new claims against Birdman.

New details have emerged in the proceedings as Lil Wayne now claims that he has letters from Drake and Tyga’s reps that they were missing funds according to TMZ.

TMZ also says that the Young Money boss claims he has a separate written complaint from Nicki Minaj’s producers, who also say they were shortened on due fees. Consequently, Wayne is moving to hold Birdman responsible for these payments.

Lil Wayne runs Young Money, whose stable of artists include Drake, Nicki and Tyga. Cash Money is the parent company of Young Money, and Birdman is the big boss.

Young Money alleges that they did not receive its fair share of a $100 million advance from Universal Records. Cash Money, on the other hand, says it paid Young Money over $100 million in advances, and that Wayne never met his 21 albums in 7 years.

Tyga has openly aired out his grievances with Young Money unlike Drake and Nicki Minaj as both have been relatively quiet regarding the legal issues between Lil Wayne and Birdman.

Birdman in for the first time since the dispute went public, Birdman told Angie Martinez that he was unsure of Young Money’s fate, but that he had high hopes the two labels would stay together.

“I don’t really know what the business relationship gon’ be with me and Wayne. We built this. That’s my partner—we built this. I would prefer him to be with me,” he said.
