Arsenal release Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and ten other players, See new Signings
With a new season kicking off soon, today, June 30 marks the end of many players’ contracts and London club, Arsenal Football Club is using it as an opportunity to confirm the list of players who will be leaving the Emirates stadium since their contacts have come to an end.
Amongst the list of players who will be calling it quits with Arsenal includes club stalwarts such as defender Per Mertesacker, midfielders Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and nine other players.
According to club official website, Per Mertesacker will be staying back the club as the academy manager while Wilshere and Cazorla will be moving on as the latter looking to resurrect his career after a long injury-enforced absence.

July 1 marks the welcoming of new players to the club as it will see some fresh legs signing their first professional contracts.
The following players have signed as scholars with Arsenal Football Club from the start of the 2018/19 season:

Alfie Matthews

While the following young players have signed contract extensions:

The statement issued on the club’s official site added: “To all the players leaving us, we thank them all for their contributions to the club and wish them the best of health and success in their futures.”
“To the players joining and signing new contracts, we look forward to their continued development with us in the years to come.”
