Abba Moro Gets Quizzed by EFCC Over Immigration Fraud

Abba MoroThe former minister of interior, Abba Moro has been quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the failed recruitment exercise of the Nigeria Immigration Service in 2014.

The NIS recruitment exercise of March 2014, saw 700,772 candidates pay N1000 each for just 4,000 available slots.

The crowd attracted for the test resulted in a stampedes in various stadiums around the nation.

TheCable reports that Moro was at the Abuja office of the EFCC on Monday, after being invited to respond to allegations of fraud in the recruitment tragedy.

An official of the EFCC who confirmed the arrest of Mr. Moro to Per Second News said a team of investigators have already begun interrogating him after being arrested on Monday.

Moro has been involved in counter accusations with the former the Comptroller-General of Immigration (CGI), David Parradang on the matter.

Moro recently expressed shock that he was being made a scapegoat for the outcome of the controversial employment exercise supervised by the Presidential Committee to Assist in Immigration recruitment.
