PDP Appoints Ali Modu Sheriff
Ali Modu Sheriff, the former governor of Borno State who has been accused several times of having ties with Islamic insurgents, Boko Haram has been appointed as the new chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the embattled spokesperson of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, all the organs of the party- the national caucus, PDP governors’ forum and the national assembly caucuses- reached a collective decision to appoint Sheriff as the party’s new chairman.

Metuh made the disclosure while addressing journalists at the Abuja’s Wadata plaza secretariat of the party, on Tuesday.
