EFCC Arraign SAN Rickey Tarfa on Obstruction of Justice Charges

Rickey Tarfa, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a two-count charge of willful obstruction of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

The respected lawyer was arrested by EFCC operatives in Lagos on Friday when he shielded two Beninoise – Nazaire Sorou Gnanhoue and Modeste Finagnon in his Mercedes Benz Sports Utility car, to escape being arrested by the EFCC.

The two suspects who had been on the radar of the EFCC suspects, were alleged to have fraudulently converted some sophisticated manufacturing equipment belonging to Rana Prestige Nigeria Limited, for their personal use.

They are also being investigated for allegedly evading tax worth millions of naira.

Meanwhile, Tarfa would also be arraigned for illegally and unethically communicating with a judge in a suit involving the EFCC and two companies.
