Commas Come and Go (Commas Remix) Video – A’won Boyz

By  |

Commas Come and GoUS based Nigerian music trio A’won Boyz releases new music video for the remake of American rapper Future’s ‘F*ck Up Some Commas’.

The track turned out to be “Commas Remix (Commas Come And Go),” A’won Boyz’s indigenous Afro-beats interpolation of Future’s similarly named hit. The music video was shot and directed by New York-based Legacy Productions.

The Brooklyn trio’s irreverent green-screen video for “Commas,” is equally perfect. It’s got everything you could hope for—a dundun talking drum, artfully employed stacks of cash, dabbing in dashikis, and milly rocking in some traditional Nigerian outfits. “F*ck Up Some Commas” might have been last year’s anthem, but “Commas Come And Go” is this year’s inspiration.

“Living in the U.S., you understand that trap music is a big part of music now and one day, we came up with [our version of] the hook to Future’s ‘Commas’ song jokingly. After posting a short clip on Twitter, fans began to demand a full song,” the crew explained to The FADER over email.

“We figured if the fans really want it, we could show them what we believe afro-trap could sound like. Thus, the ‘Commas Remix (Commas Come and Go)’ was born.”
