Nnamdi Kanu Welcomes Son from Prison
Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and his wife, Uchechi Okwu Kanu has given birth to a baby boy.
Kanu, who leads the Indigenous Republic of Biafra, was arrested after arriving Nigeria and is under trial for treason and other offences, after being arrested by the Department of State Security in October 2015.
Kanu was granted recently granted bail by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja.
Shortly after the judgment, the Biafra leader was rearrested and fresh charges slammed against him.
Several Biafra proponents on Facebook have been sharing the news of the birth of Kanu’s son, via their different pages.
Ogbonnaya Akpa wrote on his page: “Buhari can detain #NnamdiKanu but cannot stop the blessings of Chukwu Okike (God the Creator) from reaching him. Congratulations to #NnamdiKanu, Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, #IPOB family worldwide on the birth of NNAMDI. May he grow to fulfill his destiny. Ise! Ise!! Ise.”
Nwosu Chinwendu Silvia revealed the name of the child, while sharing the news.
“Despite the perilous times we are faced with, we the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) at least have one good news to announce. We are glad to announce that the wife of our one and only leader Nnamdi Kanu has put to bed a bouncing baby boy.”
“We are delighted and as such Welcoming Prince Nnamdi Okwu Kanu the 3rd to the world. The zoo may have succeeded in ensuring that our leader does not behold the delivery of his son, but they will not succeed or prevent him from beholding Biafra in his life time. All hail Biafra.”
Similarly, Biafra Israel Prince, wrote: “Good morning great biafrans with joy in our hearts and celebration of new arrival to IPOB family, our first lady the wife of our eminent leader Joshua Nnamdi Kanu has delivered a healthy baby boy, mother and child are in good health. All Hail Biafra.”
