Burna Boy gets Endorsement from French Cognac Giant

Burna-Boy-III-898x1280Reggae-dancehall act Burna Boy has announced that he is now the brand ambassador of Martell Cognac, one of the oldest cognac houses in France. “Say hello to your official Martell Ambassador,” he wrote on his Instagram page, celebrating. “2016 has already begun!!!”

Burna Boy now joins M.I Abaga as the second Nigerian act signed with the cognac brand.
This year, the singer who boldly declared that he would become a legend was the first Nigerian artiste to sign a record deal with Island Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. And then he headlined this year’s Hennessy Artistry campaign in Nigeria.

Although he missed out on major award nominations, like the BET and MTV African Music Awards, there are strong hopes that Burnaboy will be taking back what rightly belongs to him in 2016.

Burna Boy also took out time to celebrate a fan who created an artwork for him.
