Lil Kesh set to leave Olamide’s YBNL for New Label (Details)
All does not seem to be well in Olamide’s YBNL as news reports have just confirmed that Lil Kesh is set to leave Olamide’s YBNL as he has refused to renew label with baddo’s label.
According entertainment site Naija Loaded, the ‘Ishe’ rapper’s contract expired weeks ago and the 21 year old rapper has refused to have it renewed.
Kesh has reportedly made up his mind about leaving YBNL by the end of this month and will be floating his own label named after his album, YAGI.
This was confirmed to the entertainment site, and the sources close to both parties add that Olamide has also refused to push for the shooting of videos for any of the tracks off Lil Kesh’s album.
Olamide has previously defended Lil Kesh and stood up for him at the last Headies Awards, leading to an all out war between him and Mavin boss Don Jazzy.
In 2015, Olamide tweeted that none of his frontline artiste would be leaving his label “Saying Kesh or Viktoh or any1 else gone leave me is kinda shitty,” he said, adding, “I want ds niggas to be great .. Not to be slaves or dependent.”
Davido who recently floated a new label might just be interested in Kesh’s services as he has times without number shared his admiration for the YBNL act.
