Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City Dominate PFA 2015/2016
The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has named the Premier League Team of the year for the 2015/16 season.
Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City stars unsurprisingly dominated the all star team by far after what has been a terrific campaign for both sides, but Arsenal playmaker and assist King Mesut Ozil was the surprise omission from the list.
Table-toppers Leicester and Spurs dominate the field with four players each, while Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham United each have one representative.
Premier League leading scorer Harry Kane makes the dream team for the second consecutive year and is partnered by England hotshot Jamie Vardy, whose goals have powered the Foxes to the brink of an extraordinary title win.
Manchester United goalkeeping sensation David De Gea gets the nod for the second successive season, while Dimitri Payet, a summer signing for West Ham makes the cut after a breathtaking first season in English football.
The professional footballers’ trade union were forced to announce this season’s Team of the Year ahead of its usual Sunday schedule owing to a leak on social media.
The Complete Team: De Gea; Bellerin, Morgan, Rose, Alderweireld, Mahrez, Alli, Kante, Payet, Kane, Vardy.
